Pops had a fun couple of days fishing with Uncle Billy!
Yesterday at Lake Istokpoga
It was a bright sunny day, but it got hot really fast! The water was super dirty and murky. We only had one bite the whole morning… and guess who caught it? ME! One little bass. Uncle Billy got skunked. By noon it was so hot we said “Nope!” and headed home.
Today at Lake Okeechobee
Much better! The morning was nice and overcast (cooler and cloudy) until about 10:00. We had a pretty good day!
I landed five fish and Uncle Billy landed one. But here’s the silly part — between us we lost as many fish as we caught! The fish were very good at “professional releasing” themselves off the hook. 😂
All the fish were caught were on my Arkansas Shiner plastic swimbait lure. Uncle Billy wasn’t catching anything at first. So I gave him one of my lucky lures… and then he started getting lots of bites! But he only managed to land one. The rest did the “professional release” trick on him.
We had a great time together even with all the lost fish. Fishing with Uncle Billy is always an adventure!
