Great start to fishing Braunig lake this May. Landed 8 reds including a solid 31" and 30", the action continues!

I've been able to get out several times to the lake and I'm racking up the stats. Fishing has been consistently good!

With Texas heat is pushing records all week, this was a perfect morning to be out on Braunig Lake.

After my last trip to Braunig with fishing buddy Bob Bickett, I had an idea of using a new inshore saltwater tactic to try to see if it would work for these lake redfish.

Slow start to a warm morning with a fortunate stiff breeze blowing in our face.

The day started out with unexpected weather, overcast skies and a surprisingly cool breeze in our face as we launch from the kayak ramp.

I was blessed to have the opportunity to travel the Florida coastline camping and fishing along the way to Okeechobee, Fl. where I visited family.
